TU Wien in Vienna, Austria, invites applications for a University Assistant Prae-Doc (doctoral researcher) in the THz Electronics Group. The successful candidate will conduct research on THz RTD oscillators and detectors, publish results in high‑impact journals, and contribute to teaching activities.

Working 30 hours per week with a contract up to 4 years, starting as soon as possible. The salary follows the Austrian collective agreement for university staff (pay grade B1) at a minimum of EUR

Qualifikationen

• MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
• Strong background in high-frequency electrical engineering or device physics.
• Experience in semiconductor technology, nano/microfabrication, THz or high-frequency measurements, or EM simulations is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork.
• German knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.

Salary

The salary follows pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. The minimum salary is currently EUR 2,786.10 gross per month (14 payments per year) for 30 hours per week. Relevant work experience may increase the salary.
