Zusammenfassung

The University of Innsbruck invites applications for a PhD researcher (First Stage Researcher) to undertake a PhD thesis in Empirical Finance. You will conduct independent research, teach, publish, and supervise students, with 20 hours per week initially, rising to 30 hours after the dissertation agreement is signed.

The four-year position starts 15.02.2027 in Innsbruck, Austria. Strong quantitative and finance knowledge, excellent English, and a 2-page research proposal are required.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent (MSc/Mag/Dipl) in a field related to finance or economics.
• Strong knowledge of banking, finance, risk management or empirical capital market research.
• Strong quantitative skills; programming skills where applicable.
• Ability to work in a team; resilience; independence; good communication with colleagues, students and line managers.
• Very good command of English.
• Submit a written 2-page proposal outlining a potential PhD project.
