The University of Innsbruck invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) position in the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics. The part-time appointment (20 hours per week) focuses on independently delivering courses and examinations in programming and software engineering (8 semester hours) and developing teaching methods.

You will supervise students and bachelor theses, handle administrative tasks, contribute to research, and support event organization.

Your responsibilities

• Independently delivering courses and conducting examinations in the field of programming and software engineering (8 semester hours)
• Further development of teaching methodologies and course content
• Supervising students, including supervision of Bachelor theses
• Administrative tasks and management duties (e.g. assisting with the organisation of events for students)
• Contributing to research

Your profile

• A completed diploma or Master degree in Software Engineering or related fields
• Very good knowledge and experience in programming and the application of software engineering methods
• Teaching experience
• Experience in the field of AI and teaching
• Excellent command of German
• Good command of English
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Leadership and communication skills in a project context
