Job summary

Kapsch, a leading Austrian technology company, seeks a System Engineer to own requirement engineering for toll collection solutions. You will drive functional analysis, architecture, and interface coordination with customers and internal teams across bid and implementation phases.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field, 3+ years of system engineering experience, and fluency in English and German. Travel flexibility and a collaborative, structured approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering/IT field.
• At least 3 years of system engineering experience in a professional environment.
• Experience in toll collection or telematics is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and delivery skills for large, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, execute and own requirement engineering for toll collection systems.
• Provide technical project management across bid and implementation phases.
• Perform functional analysis and architecture for electronic toll collection and telematic systems.
• Create specifications and system processes; interface with customers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, operations and project management to ensure implementation.
