Zusammenfassung

Erste Group are seeking a senior governance professional to shape technology governance and operating models across a complex banking environment. You will partner with CIO-level stakeholders to define governance, ownership and management of technology services while ensuring regulatory alignment and ongoing improvement.

You will drive the development of governance frameworks, operating models and capability portfolios and will interact with senior executives to support strategic decision-making

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience in IT governance, operating model design, CIO Office, enterprise architecture, technology management or related areas.
• Experience within banking, financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Proven track record in working with governance frameworks and operating models.
• Experience interacting with senior executives and influencing without formal authority.
• Strong understanding of technology organizations and delivery models.
• Good understanding of infrastructure, cloud, platform and core technology services.
• Ability to translate complex organizational challenges into practical governance solutions.
• Strong analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable driving organizational change and transformation.
• Credible discussion partner for CIOs, senior technology leaders and governance stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, results-oriented and execution-focused.
• Able to balance governance requirements with business and operational needs and realities.
• Confident challenging established structures while building consensus.

• Develop and evolve the EG CIO Governance Capability Model.
• Design governance frameworks and IT operating models, strengthening the retained organization of the EG CIO towards external and captive providers.
• Drive adoption of the IT governance frameworks across EG and local IT delivery organizations

As part of Erste Group’s IT Strategy & Transformation team, the central governance and steering function within Group IT, you will play a key role in shaping the future of technology governance and management across a complex banking environment. You will drive the development of IT governance frameworks, organizational architecture, operating models, and strategic technology capabilities that support the Group’s digital and business objectives.

Working closely with CIO-level stakeholders, technology providers, and internal delivery organizations, you will help define how technology services are governed, owned, and managed across the Group. You will contribute to ensuring effective oversight, regulatory alignment, and continuous improvement of technology services, while supporting the evolution of a high-performing and well-governed IT organization. This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior management and strategic decision-making.

Your Tasks – Governance & Operating Model

• Develop and evolve the EG CIO Governance Capability Model.
• Design governance frameworks and IT operating models, strengthening the retained organization of the EG CIO towards external and captive providers.
• Drive adoption of the IT governance frameworks across EG and local IT delivery organizations
• Support governance improvements driven by regulatory and supervisory expectations.

Technology Capability Management

• Act as CIO counterpart for strategic technology capabilities with providers, supporting alignment between business demand and technology services.
• Support governance of infrastructure, cloud, platform and core IT service capabilities.
• Contribute to service governance and capability portfolio management.

Executive Stakeholder Management

• Represent the Holding CIO organization towards EGB and regulatory governance bodies.
• Facilitate alignment across business, technology and governance stakeholders.
• Prepare and support executive decision-making forums.

Your Background
