Job summary

Lam Research AG in Villach seeks a senior technical writer to create, update, and maintain high-quality documentation for our products, systems and tools.

You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content for diverse audiences, and collaborate with engineering, safety and product support to validate information.

You will manage documentation across the product lifecycle, promote best practices, and leverage modern CMS and AI-assisted tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.
• A strong communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Someone who enjoys working cross-functionally and building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with semiconductor equipment and semiconductor industryexperience in technical writing, content development, or a related documentation role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, software workflows, or engineering documentation.
• Experience working with and documenting complex hardware, software, manufacturing, semiconductor, automation, or engineering systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards, quality systems, and documentation compliance requirements is a plus.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation principles, information architecture, and content lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with version control systems and engineering change management processes.
• Experience using AI-assisted content creation and documentation tools.
• Experience in a global, multicultural environment with geographically distributed teams is preferred.

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Katalogindustry… in the occupation group E or G depending on educational background and experience. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Working Hours

Flexitime model 38,5 hours/week, Core hours (Mo-Th 9-15, Fr 9-11:30)
