Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Maschinenbau, Werkstoffingenieurwesen, Verfahrensingenieurwesen oder vergleichbare technische Disziplin
• Mehrere Jahre Berufserfahrung in Produktentwicklung, Application Engineering, Engineering oder Technical Project Management
• Fundierte Kenntnisse industrieller Bauteile und deren Einsatz in anspruchsvollen Anwendungen
• Idealerweise Erfahrung mit Hochleistungspolymeren und metallischen Materialien
• Nachweisliche Erfahrung in der internationalen Koordination von Entwicklungs- oder Technologiprojekten
• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten sowie eine strukturierte, proaktive und eigenständige Arbeitsweise
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und sicheres Auftreten bei internationalen Kunden und funktionsübergreifenden Teams
• Fließendes Englisch; Deutsch ist von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend
• Reisebereitschaft ca. 20–30% der Zeit

• Technische und strategische Ausrichtung für ein global eingesetztes Produktportfolio
• Lebenszyklus vom Entwicklung bis zur Markteinführung und kontinuierliche Verbesserung verwalten
• Neue Konzepte evaluieren und innovative Lösungen in industrielle Anwendungen übersetzen
• Koordinierung grenzüberschreitender Technologie-, Entwicklungs- und Optimierungsinitiativen
• Definition und Weiterentwicklung technischer Guidelines, Produktanforderungen und anwendungsbezogener Dokumentationen
• Koordinierung regulatorischer Anforderungen, Produktzulassungen und relevanter Qualitätsstandards
• Bewertung der Produktleistung anhand technischer KPIs und Ableitung von Verbesserungen
• Systematische Untersuchung technischer Abweichungen und Entwicklung nachhaltiger Lösungen
• Technischer Support für internationale Teams bei komplexen Anwendungsfällen
• Präsentation technischer Lösungen sowie Wissensvermittlung und Training
• Weiterentwicklung von Anwendungsingenieur-Methoden und Unterstützung der Implementierung digitaler Engineering-Tools

The position is part of a global Product Management team and works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Sales and regional Application Engineering organisations.

Aufgabengebiet

• Provide technical and strategic direction for a globally deployed product portfolio
• Manage the product lifecycle from development and market launch through to continuous improvement
• Evaluate new concepts and translate innovative solutions into industrial applications
• Coordinate cross-border technology, development and optimisation initiatives
• Define and enhance technical guidelines, product requirements and application-related documentation
• Coordinate regulatory requirements, product approvals and relevant quality standards
• Assess product performance against technical KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
• Investigate technical deviations systematically and develop sustainable solutions
• Provide technical support to international teams on complex application issues and demanding customer projects
• Present technical solutions and deliver knowledge-transfer and training activities
• Advance application engineering methods and support the implementation of digital engineering tools

Anforderungsprofil

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Process Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Several years of experience in product development, Application Engineering, Engineering or Technical Project Management
• Strong knowledge of industrial components and their use in demanding technical applications
• Proven experience in technical customer support and resolving complex application-related challenges
• Sound understanding of materials, design principles, product functionality and engineering parameters
• Ideally, experience with high-performance polymers and metallic materials
• Track record of coordinating international development or technology projects
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, proactive and independent approach to work
• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when engaging with international customers and cross-functional teams
• Fluent English; German is an advantage but not essential
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20 to 30% of the time
