Zusammenfassung

ams-OSRAM AG is seeking a Quality lead for NPD/NPI in Austria. You will drive quality planning, risk mitigation and robust qualification for advanced semiconductor products, collaborating across functions and suppliers.

With 2+ years in a semiconductor role and strong knowledge of quality standards, you will implement DFMEA, control plans and PPAP, while performing reliability testing and life-time modeling. English required; German a plus; up to 50% travel expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical/electronics engineering or applied physics.
• 2+ years in a semiconductor industry role; digital photonics knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, VDA6.3 and Core Quality Tools (APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, SPC) including PPAP generation.
• Experience with statistical tools (DOEs, Minitab, JMP).
• Root cause analysis tools: 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, Fault Tree; first experience in driving customer-facing 8Ds.
• Reliability and qualification: HTOL/TC/HAST, AEC-Q10x, JEDEC/JESD; Weibull analysis; Failure rate calculations.
• Proficiency in English; German and other languages are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (supplier and inter-site visits).

Your new responsibilities

• Drive and manage Quality in NPD/NPI (Risk based APQP, ensure holistic quality planning and execution) for assigned projects, in compliance with defined business processes across all functions
• Support flawless execution of process/product qualification to ensure fast development of robust and innovative products
• Enforce risk mitigation impacting process/product quality with the aid of FMEA, DFx guidelines, dedicated risk assessment tables, industry known specifications and standard
• Execution of pre-qual to intercept potential risks which ensures high success of final process/product qualification
• Definition of Quality and Reliability strategy with focus on robustness test to study technology-based capabilities, including lifetime modeling and predictions
• Drive and manage quality and reliability issues, as well as continuous improvement in all areas of interest
• Key go-to person (contact window) in the Business Unit (BU) / Business Line (BL) for any Quality related-issues during process/product development

Who we are looking for

• Completed university degree (Bachelor’s / Master’s) in electrical or electronics engineering, applied physics or comparable
• First experience (2+ years) in a similar role in a semiconductor industry. Good knowledge in digital photonics is beneficial
• Strong knowledge of Core Automotive Quality Standards (IATF16949, ISO9001, VDA6.3) and Advanced Core Quality Tools (APQP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, SPC), including PPAP generation
• Experience with statistical tools (eg. DOEs, Minitab, JMP)
• Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis Tools: 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, Is/Is Not Analysis; first experience in driving customer-facing 8Ds
• Reliability and Qualification skills: Reliability Tests (e.g., HTOL/TC/HAST), Qualification Standards (AEC-Q10x, JEDEC/JESD), Reliability Statistics (Weibull Analysis, FIT Rate, Failure Rate Calculations)
• Proficiency in English; German and other languages would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel: up to 50% (supplier and inter-site visits)
