Job summary

ams OSRAM AG in Austria seeks a maintenance technician for operation and upkeep of water treatment and chemical supply systems. You will monitor facilities, implement repairs, and supervise external service providers, with on-call duties after year one.

Required apprenticeship in a technical or chemical-technical trade, plus strong PC skills and German language proficiency. Experience with maintenance databases is advantageous, and a forklift license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed in a technical or chemical-technical trade.
• Technical understanding of complex treatment facilities and control systems.
• Reliability in plant support and documentation for authorities.
• PC skills: data entry in maintenance database, Outlook, Excel.
• Forklift license; training can be provided.
• Fluent German; English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment plants (cooling/ultrapure water) and the wastewater plant.
• Operate chemical supply systems (acids, alkalis, solvents).
• Monitor systems and implement corrective measures and repairs.
• Regular inspections of all systems and subordinate piping to machine connections.
• Supervise external companies for maintenance and expansions.
• Record maintenance work and incidents in maintenance database.
• On-call duty (1x month, 1 week 24/7) after one year of employment.

Your new responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of the water treatment plants (cooling and ultrapure water) and the waste water plant


• Operation and maintenance of chemical supply systems (acids, alkalis, solvents)


• Monitoring of the mentioned systems and independent implementation of corrective measures and repairs


• Regular inspections of all the mentioned systems including the subordinate supply and waste disposal piping through to the machine connections


• Supervising and advising external companies when carrying out service, repairs and system expansions


• Recording of maintenance work and incidents in a maintenance database


• On-call duty (1x month, 1 week 24/7) - applicable after at least one year of employment

Who we are looking for

• Successfully completed apprenticeship in a technical or chemical-technical profession (fitter, electrician, chemical laboratory technician or comparable)


• Technical understanding of complex treatment facilities and control systems


• Reliability (plant support and documentation for authorities)


• PC skills required (data entry in maintenance database, Outlook, Excel)


• Forklift driver's license required (training can be provided)


• Fluency in German required, English nice-to-have
