Erste Digital, part of Erste Group, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support feasibility studies, transformation initiatives, and implementation projects in a global IT environment.

You will collaborate with business and technology teams to translate needs into clear specifications, analyze data requirements, and ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations. Strong SQL, data modeling, and communication skills in English are essential.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of Business Analyst/ Solution Analyst experience.
• Experience in software development or IT transformation projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical and process management skills; consulting experience is a plus.

What to do:

You will play a key role in feasibility studies, transformation initiatives and implementation projects. Working closely with business and technology teams, you will help turn complex challenges into practical and sustainable solutions.

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, understand their needs and translate business requirements into clear specifications for technical implementation.
• Analyse new data requirements, develop and maintain data catalogues, and define data quality controls.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes and present clear, actionable solution options.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and data quality.
• Validate technical implementations and ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Support feasibility assessments, transformation initiatives and project deliveries throughout the solution lifecycle.

You check these boxes:

• Several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Solution Analyst or in a comparable role, with the ability to challenge established processes constructively and maintain a strategic perspective.
• Hands-on experience working in software development or IT transformation projects, ideally in an international or multi-country environment.
• Strong analytical and process management skills; experience in consulting or stakeholder advisory roles is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. German language skills are considered an asset.
• Ability to convey complex business and technical topics in a clear and understandable manner to a variety of stakeholders.
• Solid SQL skills and a good understanding of data models; knowledge of Databricks is an advantage.
• A structured and adaptable working style, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs.
• An interest in leveraging digital and AI-supported tools to improve efficiency, support decision-making and enhance collaboration.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, combined with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Curiosity, continuous learning agility and a willingness to embrace new technologies, methodologies and ways of working.
