Job summary

Northscope GmbH is seeking a senior software engineer who orchestrates AI agents and builds enterprise-grade software. You’ll integrate LLMs, multi-agent systems, and data workflows with finance ERP integrations (SAP, Dynamics, Excel), while shaping scalable architecture.

You’ll talk to customers, onboard new users, and translate CFO needs into product improvements. Based in Vienna with 2–3 days in the office, you’ll join a founding team and have equity potential; strong security and data

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI agents and multi-system workflows for enterprise-scale software.
• Build and maintain integration pipelines with SAP, Dynamics, Excel and other finance systems.
• Architect scalable infrastructure and processes with testing, QA and security in mind.
• Engage with CFOs and controllers to translate requirements into product features.
• Onboard customers technically, handle data connections and onboarding until smooth operation.

Job description

Your Role

The reality: You're not coding like in the past. You're orchestrating AI agents while building enterprise-grade software.

What you'll build:

• Multi-agent orchestration layer (Claude, GPT, specialized finance models)
• Integration pipelines with enterprise finance systems (SAP, Dynamics, Excel)
• AI workflows for variance analysis, month-end close, financial reporting
• Scaling and improving technical architecture and processes (testing, QA, security)

What you'll NOT do:

• Write boilerplate CRUD code
• Build yet another React dashboard
• Wait for product specs to be handed to you
• Work on someone else's legacy codebase

And you'll talk to customers

There's no product manager standing between you and the people who use what you build. You run the technical onboarding for new customers - system connections, access, first data runs, until everything runs clean. You sit in calls with CFOs and controllers, hear where it hurts, and translate that straight into product. And you explain to IT departments how our architecture handles their data.

If you don't know the customer, you build past the problem.

What You Need to Bring

Non-Negotiables:

• Experience with LLMs and AI agent frameworks
• Strong full-stack engineering (Nextjs & Python / Go preferred, but we care about thinking, not languages)
• Profound security and data governance understanding
• Ability to solve complex problems with clean, simple solutions
• You've shipped products to production before
• German at native level, very good English (our customers and their finance teams work in German)
• Based in Vienna or someday willing to relocate (2-3 days/week in office)

Strong Plus:

• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and Terraform (or similar)
• Experience with finance/ERP systems or complex data integrations
• B2B SaaS experience (you understand enterprise requirements)
• You've used Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools
• Interest in finance/accounting (or willingness to learn)

Tech Stack (your input matters)

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Backend: TypeScript/Node.js with Next.js server routes and services; Python for Azure Functions and data-processing jobs
• Data: PostgreSQL, pgvector, dbmate migrations
• AI: OpenAI/GPT and Claude/Anthropic
• Orchestration: In-house LLM routing and workflow orchestration
• Infrastructure: Azure, Terraform, containerized deployment, Azure Functions
• Integrations: SAP OData/APIs, Azure AD/Microsoft Graph, Excel/XLSX processing and automation

What You'll Get

• Minimum salary: €50.000 gross/year, with significant overpayment based on qualifications and experience
