We're seeking a passionate and skilled Junior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Vienna. As a key member of our engineering organization, you'll play a vital role in building high quality cutting-edge web applications that delight our users.
What You’ll Do
- Perform functional testing of web applications
- Participate in all SCRUM meetings
- Validate API requests, responses, and business rules
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases, checklists, and regression test suites
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to identify missing or unclear acceptance criteria and ensure feature quality
- Report defects with detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and test documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Good understanding of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC
- Ability to design effective positive, negative, and edge-case test scenarios
- Experience writing clear and structured bug reports
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (TestRail, Jira, or similar).
- Understanding of test documentation, test cases, and checklists
- Strong analytical and logical thinking
- Excellent attention to detail
- Curiosity and willingness to investigate issues thoroughly
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently after onboarding
- Fast learner with a proactive attitude
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocol (Postman or similar API tools)
- Basic understanding of authentication mechanisms (API Key, Basic Auth, Bearer Token)
- Ability to investigate defects using application logs and API responses
- Ability to isolate issues and collect useful information for developers
- Curiosity and willingness to dig deeper into the root cause of problems
- Good written and spoken English. German is not required but appreciated
- 1+ years of work experience as a QA Engineer

We offer a full-time position with a collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 33.406,8 gross/year. This will be overpaid depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
