Mavie is seeking an IT professional in Vienna who enjoys building reliable systems across hardware, applications and cloud platforms. You will own the Lifestyle Check technology, modernize existing systems, and improve reliability from measurement devices to cloud backends.

The role covers Windows services and device integrations, Angular/TypeScript apps, Django REST services, GCP and CI/CD workflows. You’ll solve real-world health tech challenges while collaborating with an international team

Ready to join the Mavie team and help revolutionize healthcare through technology?

We’re looking for an IT professional who enjoys building reliable systems across hardware, applications and cloud platforms, from medical measurement devices and Windows services to web applications and cloud backends.

You’ll take ownership of our Lifestyle Check technology, modernize existing systems, improve reliability and solve real-world technical challenges that directly support better health and wellbeing.

You’ll work end-to-end across:

• Windows services & device integrations connecting ~10 device families via Bluetooth, serial, TCP and file exchange
• Angular / TypeScript / Ionic / Electron applications used by lab operators
• Django REST services handling device configuration, authentication, uploads and logs
• GCP, Docker & GitHub Actions for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
• Observability, remote debugging, release workflows and system reliability
• Integrations with our wider Wellabe platform, including Laravel/PHP and Flask services

Your mission is not simply to maintain existing systems, but you’ll modernise the stack, improve reliability and shape the architecture for the future.

What we’re looking for

• A strong Windows engineering mindset, including services, installers and deployment
• Hands‑on experience integrating hardware and device protocols
• Familiarity with GCP, Docker and CI/CD
• The ability to troubleshoot complex issues remotely from incomplete information
• Strong security awareness, particularly around health data and GDPR
• Willingness to travel between Vienna and Munich
• Fluent German and good English

Nice to have:

• PHP/Laravel, health data, biomarker analysis, statistics or ML.

This is a role with an unusual amount of ownership.

You’ll be the person who understands the journey from measurement device → lab application → cloud backend → health insights.

You’ll have the freedom to modernise the technology, work with real devices, solve meaningful engineering problems and contribute to a mission focused on mental and physical health across Europe.
