Job summary

ABB is hiring a Shift Leader Electronics Manufacturing to run a 3-shift operation onsite in Austria. You will lead a shift team, ensure safe, high-quality production, and drive continuous improvement while meeting schedules and performance targets.

The role requires a technical education, production experience, strong communication, and German language skills, with willingness to work in a 3-shift environment.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education or vocational training (apprenticeship, technical school or comparable qualification)
• Professional experience in a production environment, ideally with initial leadership or coordination experience
• Very good communication and teamwork skills combined with a high level of attention to detail
• Structured and solution-oriented approach with a strong focus on quality
• Experience with MS Office and SAP
• Very good German skills, both written and spoken, and willingness to work in a 3-shift operation

Responsibilities

• Take the lead of a shift team in our production and work together with your team to ensure safe, quality-focused and reliable production operations.
• In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
• Lead and develop the employees within your shift team, including conducting development discussions and contributing to personnel decisions
• Ensure delivery schedules as well as quality and performance targets are met within the shift
• Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational safety, ESD protection and workplace conduct requirements
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility
