Zusammenfassung

AUSTRIA JUICE Group is seeking a Sensory Expert to lead sensory programs across R&D and flavor teams in Austria. You will design, execute, and advance sensory evaluation of ingredients and finished products, defining flavor profiles and driving cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a university degree in Food Science or related field, strong sensory experience, and excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).

• Design, execute, and continually develop sensory programs with R&D, Ingredient Portfolio, and Flavor & Applications teams.
• Conduct sensory evaluation of ingredients and products; define flavor profiles and support evaluations.
• Maintain and expand sensory data, descriptors, lexicons, and flavor libraries across teams.
• Analyze, interpret and communicate sensory results to stakeholders and expand flavor/category expertise.

YOUR MISSION

• Responsibility for the design, execution, and continuous development of sensory programs in close collaboration with R&D/NPD, Ingredient Portfolio, and Flavor & Applications teams
• Sensory evaluation of ingredients and products, definition of flavor profiles, and active contribution to application and flavor evaluations
• Maintenance and further development of sensory data, descriptors, lexicons, and flavor libraries across teams and regions
• Analysis, interpretation, and communication of sensory results to relevant stakeholders, with continuous expansion of flavor and category expertise

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Completed university degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, or a comparable field
• Several years of industry experience in the food, flavor, or fragrance environment with a strong focus on sensory evaluation
• Experience in conducting sensory tests and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Very good MS Office skills; SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and accurate working style with strong organizational skills, intercultural openness, and the ability to perform well under pressure
• Strong project management skills, particularly in virtual and cross-functional projects
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages (especially German) are a plus
