Job summary

Peak Technology GmbH in Austria designs high-performance systems for motorsport and aerospace, seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to advance CFRP subassemblies and spaceflight structures. You will use state-of-the-art FE methods to ensure safety and integrity of components from numerical analysis to validation against experiments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design, manufacturing and testing, planning test campaigns, and developing Python tools for data processing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in structural analysis in aerospace.
• Deep knowledge of composite materials and their failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency in FE software: Abaqus, Nastran, Ansys and/or HyperMesh.
• Programming skills, preferably Python, for automating data evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform finite element simulations of CFRP pressure vessels and spaceflight structures.
• Assess structural performance and damage tolerance using fracture mechanics.
• Analyze material behaviour of composites and metals under static and cyclic loading.
• Calibrate and validate simulation models against experimental data.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate test campaigns for material characterisation and model validation.
• Prepare clear, traceable analysis reports for internal use and customer delivery.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and testing teams; present results in meetings.
• Develop Python tools for data processing and workflow automation.
