Job summary

Clera is seeking a Lead SEO to drive strategy and execution for a growing B2B AI communications software business. You will own SEO across the DACH region and beyond, collaborating with product, website, and engineering teams to improve site performance and organic visibility.

The role requires hands-on technical SEO, content direction, and management of a €20k–€30k monthly budget with external agencies. On-site in Vienna, Austria.

About the Role

Lead SEO strategy and execution for a growing B2B AI communications software business, starting with the DACH region and expanding into international markets. This hands‑on role sits within the marketing team and works closely with website and engineering colleagues to grow organic visibility across traditional search and AI‑powered search tools.

What You'll Do

• Build and execute SEO strategy across DACH and additional international markets.

• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis for both traditional search and AI-generated results.

• Work with website and engineering teams on page structure, site architecture, crawlability, and technical SEO improvements.

• Write or commission SEO-focused content, and assess its quality and performance.

• Manage a monthly SEO budget of €20,000 to €30,000 and coordinate external agencies while retaining strategic ownership.

• Use website platforms such as Webflow or similar tools to support hands‑on SEO work.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of full‑time experience as an SEO specialist or manager, with ownership of strategy and execution and measurable improvements in rankings and organic traffic at scale.

• Experience delivering SEO across multiple international markets and languages, including markets beyond your home country.

• Fluency in both English and German, with strong written communication and copywriting skills.

• Hands‑on technical SEO experience and a track record of collaborating with engineering teams to implement improvements.

• Experience managing SEO budgets and external agencies without relying on them for strategic direction.

• Familiarity with AI search tools such as ChatGPT or Perplexity, alongside established SEO methods.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: €65,000 to €100,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
