ams-OSRAM AG in Austria is seeking a (Senior) Project Manager - Technology Development to lead end-to-end technology development projects from feasibility through industrialization. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, 5+ years in semiconductors, and 2+ years in project management with excellent coordination and communication skills.

English is essential; German is a plus. On-site in Unterpremstätten, Austria.

Qualifikationen

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent studies.
• 5+ years of professional experience in semiconductor industry is advantageous.
• 2+ years of project management experience (PMI certification is advantageous).
• Strong organizational and team-building abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• End-to-end project management for technology developments from feasibility to industrialization.
• Develop project plans with core team, assess resourcing, CAPEX, lead-times and dependencies.
• Identify risks and develop risk responses.
• Challenge estimates to minimize complexity and ensure efficient resources.
• Coordinate daily team activities and ensure tasks delegated per responsibilities; drive execution and milestones.
• Lead problem resolution and manage changes with impact analysis.
• Track progress using amsOSRAM project management standards and escalate issues when needed.

Your new responsibilities

• End-to-end project management for technology developments: technology feasibilities as well as full technology development and industrialization are in scope
• Develop project plans with the Project core team, checking for resourcing requirements, logistical constraints, R&D CAPEX requirements, lead-times and other dependencies, covering the entiredevelopment lifecycle, from Project Start to Project Close
• Guide the identification of risks that may arise during a project, develops effective and efficient risk response measures
• Challenge all project contributors on all their estimates and deliverables in the pursuit of achieving R&D excellence. Workon the minimization of complexity in all project phases to foster focused project execution and efficient resource usage
• Coordinate the team in the daily business and ensures that all tasks are delegated efficiently according to the responsibilities of the project members. Drive project execution and coordinating activities of various teams in accordance with ams OSRAM I2T/I2P development process ensuring that projects reach each milestone/gate on time, on budget and on spec
• Lead problem resolution and seeking alternative paths when faced with setbacks. Coordinate upcoming changes during the project while taking qualitative and quantitative impacts into account
• Track and report project progress using amsOSRAM project management standards, escalating issues to management when necessary

Who we are looking for

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent studies
• 5+ years of professional experience (semiconductor industry experience is an advantage)
• 2+ years of experience in project management (PMI certification is advantage)
• Strong organizational and team building abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good coordination and communication abilities
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; German is an advantage
