Description du poste

Role Overview:

The Product Engineer in our Secure Transactions & Identification team is responsible for enabling successful product introduction and ensuring product quality, manufacturability, and readiness for high-volume production. The role drives project execution throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) phases by coordinating characterization, qualification, reliability assessment, yield analysis, and production readiness activities.

Role Description:

The Product Engineer works cross-functionally with Design, Technology Development, Test Engineering, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and external suppliers and partners to identify and resolve technical and manufacturing challenges. The role analyzes product, process, and reliability data to drive compliance with product specifications, quality requirements, and customer expectations.

The Product Engineer ensures a smooth transition from development to manufacturing and supports continuous product improvement throughout the product lifecycle — from Product Concept Approval (PCA) through qualification, release to production, ramp-up, and ongoing product support — to ensure sustainable manufacturing performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and drive product characterization and qualification activities across NPI/NTI phases
  • Monitor product performance and identify yield and reliability improvement opportunities
  • Manage risk assessments and support root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Ensure production readiness and support a smooth Product Ownership Transfer (POT) between the R-gate and E-milestone
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet product release and production ramp targets
  • Support continuous quality and process improvement throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure alignment with customer requirements, business objectives, and quality standards
Key Focus Areas:
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI)
  • Product characterization, qualification, and reliability
  • Yield improvement and manufacturing readiness
  • Data analysis and technical problem solving
  • Risk assessment and mitigation
  • Cross-functional project leadership and stakeholder management
  • Product release and production ramp support
  • Continuous quality and process improvement
  • Customer satisfaction and business requirements alignment
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in semiconductor product engineering, NPI, process engineering or similar
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with reliability methodologies (e.g., HTOL, HAST, ESD)
  • Experience with yield analysis tools and statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Cpk)
  • Excellent cross-functional and cross-national communication and project management skills
  • Knowledge of AI and data analysis is beneficial

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
