NXP Semiconductors in Austria’s Competence Center for Crypto & Security seeks a senior security architect to shape secure solutions across our product portfolio. You will drive security analysis for industrial solutions, translate requirements into robust designs, and articulate architectural choices with stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or PhD ideal in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Solid experience designing or developing secure systems (embedded systems preferred).
• Experience building products for robotics, e-mobility, home/building automation, or healthcare is a strong plus.

• Drive end‑to‑end security analysis for NXP solutions, with a strong focus on product‑spanning features, interactions, and interfaces
• Translate regulatory and certification requirements into robust, future‑proof designs
• Evaluate the cost‑benefit trade‑offs of security mechanisms and articulate architectural choices with clarity, confidence, and customer perspective
• Analyze how different NXP technologies combine to create secure and seamless solutions
• Stay ahead of disruptive industry trends, including AI/ML, and explore the risks and opportunities they bring to the semiconductor security landscape

Your Background & Expertise

You will excel in this role if you bring:

• A Master’s degree or a PhD, ideally in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Solid experience in designing or developing secure systems (embedded systems or complete solutions preferred)
• Experience with building products for robotics solutions, e‑mobility, home and building automation, or healthcare is a strong plus
• A solid understanding of embedded software design principles
• Strong communication skills, able to translate complex architectural ideas to stakeholders with different technical backgrounds
