Job description

At Enery, we're powering the future…literally.

We are an independent renewable energy provider dedicated to delivering reliable, affordable, and long-term green energy to our customers. We have scaled rapidly to over 2.2 GW of operating capacity, with a development pipeline of close to 10 GW across around 10 CEE countries — alongside a leading position in revenue optimization for utility-scale renewable and storage assets. Present in 10 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, our reach reflects our commitment to making a meaningful climate impact across the region.

But we're more than just energy and infrastructure. With a diverse, multidisciplinary team representing over 30 nationalities, we value transparency, ownership, and continuous learning. We move fast, collaborate across disciplines, and celebrate wins, big and small, together.

At Enery, ESG isn't a checkbox. It's embedded into every decision we make, from project development and construction to long-term operations.

At Enery, we're looking for a hands-on Senior People Systems & Data Specialist to take ownership of our Workday platform and help us build reliable, efficient and scalable People systems.

Following our Workday launch in September 2026, our priority is to ensure the platform is configured to meet our business needs, supports efficient processes and provides accurate, reliable and compliant People data.

We're looking for someone who knows Workday inside out, has personally configured and optimized it, and can independently turn business requirements into working solutions.

This is not a system administration or project coordination role. We want to build strong Workday expertise in-house, with someone who can proactively drive improvements, advise stakeholders on best practices and implement changes directly in the system.

Beyond Workday, the role will progressively contribute to broader People Systems, data governance, analytics and transformation initiatives.

What you'll be doing
Own and optimize Workday
  • Act as Enery's internal Workday expert and primary point of contact for Workday-related matters.
  • Independently design, configure, modify and test Workday business processes, workflows, approval chains, condition rules and security configurations.
  • Proactively assess our existing Workday setup, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and drive solutions without waiting for instructions.
  • Translate business needs into effective system configurations, recommending best practices rather than simply implementing requests as received.
  • Lead discussions with People teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge inefficient processes and agree on optimal solutions.
  • Take hands‑on ownership of troubleshooting, system improvements, testing and ongoing optimization.
  • Support the configuration and rollout of additional Workday modules and functionalities.
  • Establish clear standards for system configuration, documentation, testing and change management.
  • Build internal Workday capabilities and minimize reliance on external implementation partners for ongoing configuration and improvements.
Drive People data quality and governance
  • Take ownership of People data quality, integrity and consistency across our systems.
  • Establish proactive data quality monitoring, reporting and validation controls.
  • Identify recurring data issues, investigate root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Define and reinforce data ownership, standards and accountability across the organization.
  • Challenge stakeholders on data quality and good data management practices.
  • Ensure systems and processes support GDPR, local regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Support reliable People reporting, analytics and integrations with other business systems.
Contribute to People transformation
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate People processes across our international organization.
  • Partner with People, Finance, IT and other functions to ensure systems support business needs.
  • Develop practical documentation, user guidance and training to support effective system adoption.
  • Contribute to broader People technology, reporting, analytics and transformation projects as the function evolves.
What we're looking for
Key Requirements
  • Proven hands‑on Workday configuration experience, including independently designing, building and modifying business processes and workflows.
  • Experience in an international, multi‑country environment
  • Experience adapting Workday's standard configuration to specific organizational requirements, ideally during an implementation or major optimization project.
  • Ability to independently configure, troubleshoot and test Workday solutions without relying on external consultants.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM, business process configuration, security concepts and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, structured thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of People data quality, governance and process controls.
  • A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset: someone who spots problems, proposes improvements and takes ownership of delivering them.
  • Confidence to lead discussions, challenge existing practices and advise stakeholders on system capabilities and best practices.
  • Ability to balance business requirements, compliance, user experience and system efficiency.
Nice‑to‑haves
  • Experience with Workday Absence, Recruiting, Performance Management or Learning.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, integrations or advanced security configuration.
  • Exposure to People analytics, data visualization or process automation.
  • Own it: Become our internal Workday expert, with real autonomy to shape how the platform works.
  • Build it: Go beyond maintaining a system. Design, configure and continuously improve it.
  • Make an impact: Your work will directly improve how our people and managers operate across multiple European countries.
  • Bring your ideas: We value people who challenge the status quo, recommend better approaches and take initiative.
  • Grow with us: Expand your scope into People data, analytics and broader transformation projects as our organization evolves.

We're not looking for a particular seniority level or number of years of experience. We're looking for someone with genuine Workday expertise, strong analytical thinking and the drive to make things better.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, building practical solutions and taking ownership from idea to implementation, we'd love to hear from you.
Our team is proud to have a diverse workforce, enriched by individuals from various backgrounds, nationalities, perspectives, and experiences. Our common values and commitment to sustainability unite us as we work toward shared goals. To continue fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, we welcome candidates from all walks of life to join us. Your unique contributions will help us grow stronger together and make a meaningful impact on our collective mission.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this full‑time position (40 hours/week) is €3.599,52. Please note that this is a legal requirement. Still, your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
