Job summary

STARD in Austria near Vienna seeks a Senior Mechanic Motorsport to join a high-performance team supporting prototype builds and on-site race event preparation. You will work under the Car Chief, coordinating parts, performing setups and ensuring safe, optimized race vehicles while maintaining detailed documentation.

Ideal candidates have multi-year motorsport experience across rally, touring cars, GT and off-road projects, strong system knowledge, welding skills, and a flexible schedule typical

Qualifications

• Master workman certification or equivalent education/experience, Level 1,2,3 HV training beneficial.
• Extensive relevant multi-year Mechanic experience in Motorsport (Rally, Touring Car, Rallycross, GT, Cross Country).
• High level of knowledge across vehicle systems (electrics, engines, drivetrain, suspension).
• Welding skills (TIG, MIG) beneficial.
• Precise, responsible and organized with strong communication and teamwork.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel).
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays and late hours common in motorsport.
• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during racing.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial builds of newly developed motorsport prototype cars.
• Receive instructions from Car Chief and Workshop Management.
• Carry out small series production car builds (customer motorsport).
• On-site race event vehicle preparation, service and post-process responsibility.
• Support Car Chief in coordinating spare parts, equipment and tools with logistics & purchasing.
• Process car setup according to setup sheets.
• Ensure safe operation and optimized performance of race vehicles.
• Generate, maintain and apply work process documentation.
