Job summary

VIG IT Digital Solutions GmbH in Austria seeks an experienced IT contracts lawyer to manage provider relationships and draft complex IT agreements. You will advise business units on IT procurement, software development, and data protection issues while ensuring compliance with ERP, AI, and security regulations.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently within a diverse team.

Qualifications

Degree in law or business law.
Several years of IT contract law or outsourcing experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts (cloud/SaaS, managed services, licensing).

Responsibilities

Commercial and legal management of provider relationships from contract drafting to extensions.
Advising IT and business units on IT contract law, procurement, and software development.
Ensure billing, SLAs, KPIs, and change requests are monitored; resolve issues with providers and stakeholders.
Drafting provisions on scope of services, acceptance, warranties, liability and rights of use.
Handling IT legal issues and drafting opinions on data protection, AI and IP matters.
Implementing DORA, NIS2, AI Act, GDPR, data protection and outsourcing requirements.
Supporting IT tenders and provider evaluations with contractual assessments.
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure legal soundness of technology projects.
