AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna seeks an Experienced Software Engineer (f/m/d) for Industrial Vision Systems to lead software development in a multidisciplinary team of AI experts, electronics specialists, and project managers.

You will design scalable architectures, ensure security and quality, and mentor junior developers while advancing research projects and building industrial solutions that improve performance and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• MSc-level degree in CS, software eng, embedded systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industrial software development experience.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with clients and project managers.
• Strong skills in modern C++ and Python; experience with Git, CMake and Linux.
• Experience with software architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, documentation and secure development practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and coding agents for implementation, refactoring, testing, documentation and code review.
• Knowledge of sensing and camera technology as well as factory automation.
• Good command of English and German (both required).
