Job summary

Silicon Austria Labs is seeking a Senior R&D Service Engineer for IC Design Flow in Linz. You will build, optimize, and maintain scalable IC-Design flows from architectural validation through sign-off for advanced ASIC/SoC projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Hands-on with major EDA platforms (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens/Mentor, etc.).
• At least 3 years' industrial experience as IC Design Flow Engineer or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end EDA environments across multiple PDKs and tech nodes.
• Improve flow methodologies and ensure reproducibility via version control systems.
• Define automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for synthesis, DFT, verification, and physical implementation.
• Provide hands-on guidance on EDA tool usage and performance tuning.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions to reduce tapeout time.
