SBG Associates in Vienna is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Firmware Developer to design, implement and optimize firmware for embedded systems. You will collaborate with hardware and test teams to ensure robust interfaces and test strategies across the full development lifecycle.

The role emphasizes C/C++ development, functional safety awareness (IEC 61508), modular architectures, andCI/CD integration within an agile environment.

Qualifikationen

• Professional experience developing embedded firmware.
• Experience with embedded software architectures.
• Familiarity with static code analysis and modern debugging tools.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards, ideally IEC 61508.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and optimise embedded firmware using C/C++.
• Create, analyse and review firmware requirements.
• Develop firmware in accordance with standards, including IEC 61508.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions with focus on modularity, security and performance.
• Perform static code analysis, unit testing and debugging.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply DevOps practices and agile development principles.
• Coordinate with hardware and testing teams to define interfaces and test strategies.
• Set up and test electronic circuits with lab equipment.
