Zusammenfassung

Lever, Inc. is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head a domain-focused data processing team, reporting to the Head of Engineering. You will scale distributed data pipelines at terabyte scale and own roadmaps, SLAs and cost.

You will extend ingestion, build integrations with ArcGIS, STAC, WMS/WMTS, and object storage across clouds. You will drive architecture reviews and ensure availability and incident quality.

Qualifikationen

• Managed software engineers directly, with real performance and development ownership.
• Led teams building data-intensive systems (pipelines, distributed processing or large-scale storage).
• Geospatial domain knowledge including CRS, rasters/vectors, GeoTIFF, PostGIS and tiling schemes.
• Strong Python and distributed systems background; ability to review pipeline design and identify scaling bottlenecks.

Aufgaben

• Lead and grow a domain-focused team, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.
• Own end-to-end roadmaps, SLAs, cost, on-call responsibility, and customer impact.
• Improve ingestion reliability, processing latency, and storage efficiency with measurable cadence.
• Extend ingestion with ArcGIS, STAC APIs, WMS/WMTS, and cloud object storage integrations.
• Represent the team in architecture reviews and ensure the proposed stack is implemented.
