Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences Croatia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric to scale our central data platform and own data integrations. You will handle end-to-end ingestion, transformation and delivery, building reusable patterns and ensuring data quality.

The role requires strong Fabric, Spark, Python and SQL skills, plus experience with relational databases, REST APIs, and Data Warehouse concepts. Collaboration with business stakeholders and AI-enabled tooling is essential.

Competenze

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong Spark, Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with relational databases, REST APIs and external data sources.
• A solid understanding of ELT, Data Warehouse concepts and analytical data modeling.
• Experience working with Power BI Semantic Models; working knowledge of DAX is useful.
• Confidence working in an AI-driven engineering environment using agents and MCP-based tooling.
• The technical depth to critically review, validate and take responsibility for AI-generated solutions.
• Existing authorization to work in Austria.

Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help scale our central Microsoft Fabric platform and strengthen technical ownership around Data Engineering, integrations and platform engineering.

What you will do

You will take complex integrations end-to-end, from understanding an unfamiliar source system to running a reliable solution in production.

• Design and implement new data integrations in Microsoft Fabric
• Choose the right approach for ingestion, transformation and data delivery
• Build reusable patterns instead of one-off solutions
• Improve data quality, monitoring and operational reliability
• Work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into data solutions
• Improve how we work with Git, CI/CD, testing, observability and automation

What you bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Strong Spark, Python and SQL skills
• Experience with relational databases, REST APIs and external data sources
• A solid understanding of ELT, Data Warehouse concepts and analytical data modeling

For this full-time position, we offer a gross monthly salary starting at € 4.500.-. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, an overpayment in line with the market is a matter of course.
