Sportradar AG in Vienna, Austria, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own multi-faceted data projects, delivering scalable data pipelines and analytics capabilities for sports technology and advertising insights.

You will design data architectures, mentor teammates, and collaborate with analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, actionable data solutions. This is an on-site role with a strong emphasis on collaboration and delivery.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with proven track record leading complex data projects from conception to delivery.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams with analysts, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Very strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR) and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Strong experience with Python for building data processing services and APIs, plus expert-level SQL for data processing and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines with automation for data systems.
• Commitment to clean code, testing, and supporting analytics/reporting requirements.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures, data modeling, and optimizing data processing workflows.
• Experience creating analytics dashboards in BI tools and data visualization solutions.

Aufgaben

• Lead large-scale data projects from requirements gathering through delivery, bridging technical and business needs.
• Design and build scalable data processing systems and back-end APIs/microservices.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Spark and AWS services for high-volume data.
• Mentor team members and present technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, and high availability of data solutions.
