Job summary

EEMCO GmbH in Austria seeks a Principal Engineer of Crystal Growth Product Development to lead productization of SiC and sapphire technologies. You will drive end-to-end transfer from R&D to production, defining specifications, roadmaps, and qualification plans while coordinating with R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.

The role demands hands-on leadership, deep materials know-how, and the ability to guide a diverse team through scale-up and market introduction activities.

Qualifications

• PhD in materials-related field with 5+ years industrial experience.
• Proven track record in silicon carbide/sapphire growth and high-temperature processing.
• Experience with 6-inch and 8-inch substrates and optical components.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transfer from R&D to production-ready products.
• Translate requirements into product specs and roadmaps for SiC and sapphire products.
• Own milestones from feasibility to ramp-up and qualification to release.
• Collaborate with customers and commercial teams for product-market fit.
