Zusammenfassung

Jobgether seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable, secure infrastructure for customer-facing products. You will own critical subsystems end to end, from architecture to production operations, focusing on cloud architecture, deployment, observability, and developer tooling.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team decisions, and partner with product, security, and DevOps to ensure reliability and performance under growth.

Qualifikationen

• 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering within primarily cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated experience owning a significant product, platform component, or subsystem from initial design through production operation and ongoing evolution.
• T-shaped technical expertise with deep specialization in one or two infrastructure domains and breadth across the stack.
• Hands-on experience managing infrastructure through code and configuration using Terraform or similar IaC.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals including networking, load balancing, containers, Kubernetes/EKS, and distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go or Python, with production-ready software experience.
• Experience operating Redis or ElastiCache in production, with clustering and scaling knowledge.
• Experience with observability technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry; performance tuning and incident management.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: VCS, code reviews, testing, safe deployment practices.
• High ownership and autonomy; capacity to work with incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions and align stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Own a core infrastructure product or subsystem end to end, including design, implementation, deployment, operation, and ongoing improvement.
• Define project objectives and measurable success criteria, align technical initiatives with business goals, and proactively identify risks.
• Translate product requirements into pragmatic designs addressing edge cases without unnecessary complexity.
• Build and maintain secure, resilient, high-performing, cost-efficient infrastructure for diverse apps and workloads.
• Design, develop, and ship software and tooling that improve engineering productivity and reduce operational toil.
• Manage infrastructure through code and configuration, primarily using Terraform, ensuring consistency with architectural patterns.
• Partner with product teams to design scalable services and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response and apply debugging techniques to diagnose issues across services.
• Improve monitoring and observability; use operational data to enhance stability, performance, and reliability.
• Apply a security-first mindset in infrastructure and software development; identify vulnerabilities during peer reviews.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex infra challenges and mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration on architecture, processes, and priorities.
