Job summary

BearingPoint in Vienna and Graz is seeking a Business Analyst for Banking Transformation to turn complex needs into concrete requirements and user stories across payments, onboarding and client lifecycle projects.

You will facilitate workshops, document process models and collaborate with product ownership, engineering and testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, in Agile or Waterfall environments. Fluent English is required; German is a plus, with flexible hours and home-office options.

Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis or requirements engineering.
• Knowledge of banking products, processes or operating models.
• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Analytical thinking and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities:

• Analyse and document business needs and translate them into functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Review banking processes and identify opportunities for simplification, automation and improved customer journeys.
• Facilitate workshops and align business, technology and delivery stakeholders around shared outcomes.

What you bring:

• Professional experience in business analysis, requirements engineering or comparable roles.
• Knowledge of banking products, processes or operating models, ideally in payments, lending, credit, onboarding or account opening.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and process documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Analytical thinking, clear communication and an inclusive, collaborative approach with business and technology stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BPMN, SQL, APIs, KYC, AML, SEPA or SWIFT is welcome.

Your individual performance and experience are reflected in your compensation. The monthly gross salary for this position starts at EUR 4,000. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we are happy to offer a higher salary.
