Zusammenfassung

Enery is seeking an experienced development professional to own the Austrian Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) pipeline from origination through Ready-to-Build to handover. You will identify new opportunities, negotiate with landowners and partners, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years in renewables or related fields, fluent German and English, and willingness to travel within Austria.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Project Management or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in German (C2) and English (C1).
• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel within Austria.

Aufgaben

• Own Enery’s Austrian BESS development pipeline (20-250 MW) from origination through RtB to handover to construction.
• Identify and secure new BESS development opportunities aligned with growth strategy.
• Lead site screening, land acquisition negotiations, permitting, grid connection applications, and environmental assessments.
• Act as primary contact for landowners, grid operators, authorities, municipalities, consultants, and partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, energy markets and construction teams to drive project success.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage project contracts (land, development, grid connection, partnerships).
• Monitor Austrian market developments and regulatory changes to inform development strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Enery’s Austrian Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development pipeline (20-250 MW), driving projects from origination through permitting, Ready-to-Build (RtB), and handover to construction.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure new BESS development opportunities in line with Enery’s growth strategy and investment criteria.
• Lead project development activities including site screening, land acquisition negotiations, permitting processes, grid connection applications, environmental assessments, and stakeholder management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including landowners, grid operators, authorities, municipalities, consultants, and development partners.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, legal, finance, energy markets, and construction to drive the successful development of BESS projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage key project agreements, including land, development, grid connection, and partnership contracts.
• Monitor Austrian market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in energy storage and flexibility markets, translating insights into actionable development strategies.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Project Management or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in German(C2) and English (C1)
• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel within Austria as required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate industry, preferably in project development, business development, or a similar development-focused role.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary cross-border internal teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with landowners, developers, advisors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach and a high degree of ownership and accountability.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this full-time position (40 hours/week) is €2.534,74. Please note that this is a legal requirement. Still, your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
