Job summary

Magna invites a Senior Research Engineer to drive AI-enabled geometric engineering, transforming CAD geometry into structured representations for AI agents and downstream applications. The role spans concept, prototyping, validation, and integration, collaborating with CAD experts, R&D, and external partners to deliver impactful AI solutions.

You will research LLM-assisted geometry reasoning, knowledge graphs, and multimodal data, contributing to manufacturability and documentation improvements

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in Engineering with ML/AI focus.
• Experience with CAD/geometry representations.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enabled geometric engineering solutions from concept to prototyping and integration.
• Translate CAD geometry into structured representations (graphs/ontologies) for AI use.
• Evaluate emerging AI, CAD and engineering tech against principles, feasibility and business value.
• Coordinate work with internal customers, R&D teams, and external partners to validate and refine AI concepts.
