Job summary

Apple Inc. in Linz, Austria, seeks an RF System Validation Intern to apply software development and automation to the RF test cycle.

You will assist engineers by developing automated tests, parsing logs, and visualizing KPIs to characterize and optimize the RF downlink system. You will collaborate with colleagues from System Engineering, HW, FW, and SW to expand regression tests, improve coverage, and learn hands-on with state-of-the-art RF equipment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent Python programming skills are a must; experience with C/C++ or Matlab is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, including scripting for automatization.
• Experience with data post-processing, statistical analysis, and visualization, applying your software skill to large datasets.
• A foundational understanding of, or strong interest in, RF skills (e.g., wireless systems, signal processing) is highly desired to effectively apply your software expertise to our domain.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in understanding the test scope and develop automated tests for RF system validation.
• Develop and debug automated tests to create meaningful regression campaigns.
• Expand test coverage through improved automatization and regulate metrics from test execution.
• Collaborate with System Engineering, HW, FW, and SW teams to resolve RF-related problems.
