Arbeitsagentur seeks a fully funded research fellow for a two-year, full-time appointment in Krems. You will lead survey design and data collection across international sites, using LimeSurvey and advanced quantitative methods in R or Stata, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and publication of at least two articles. Candidates must have a PhD in a social science field, strong English, and willingness to relocate

Qualifikationen

• Completed PhD in political science, conflict studies, social psychology, or related field; degree awarded by 15 December 2026 at the latest.
• Advanced expertise in quantitative methods, including inferential statistics and causal inference.
• Experience in design, implementation and analysis of online surveys and survey experiments; strong skills in R and/or Stata.
• Strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals; excellent analytical and academic writing skills.
• Fluency in English (C1 or higher) written and spoken; able to work in an international team.
• Willingness to relocate to Austria and work on site at Campus Krems.

Aufgaben

• Survey leadership: design and implement online surveys and embedded experiments (LimeSurvey).
• Lead questionnaire development with the Principal Investigator and coordinate across Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco.
• Lead analysis of survey data using advanced quantitative methods.
• Data collection: oversee fieldwork in Morocco with a survey company; ensure data quality and ethics.
• Contribute to coding of migration policy data and data management across the project.
• Research: develop and submit at least two articles with the PI; contribute to theoretical development.
• Collaboration: present findings at conferences, participate in meetings, and work with an interdisciplinary team.
