MADX – Macro Array Diagnostics GmbH in Vienna seeks a hands-on, strategic leader to head the Protein Operations department. You will guide daily operations while shaping long-term plans, ensuring high-quality protein expression and purification workflows, and keeping teams aligned with company goals.

The role requires a degree in biochemistry or related field, 3+ years in protein expression/purification, and proven leadership. Proficiency in English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 3+ years in protein expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
• Experience leading a team.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Protein Operations department daily and strategically.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate team activities.
• Hands-on protein life cycle from expression to purification.
• Hit operational KPIs and advise Head of Protein Sciences on matters.
• Drive continuous process improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost.
• Coordinate training and development for the Protein Operations team.
• Keep equipment running and well maintained.
