Zusammenfassung

AST Turbo is seeking a Field Service Engineer (100%) to own field service assignments from award to close-out, coordinating technical/quality requirements and briefing engineers. You will ensure proper field reporting and invoicing, working with the Field Service Manager and site teams.

The role requires hands-on turbomachinery field service experience, solid project management knowledge, and strong documentation skills. English fluency is essential; German is an advantage.

Field Service Engineer (100%)

The Project Lead Assignments is a key role within AST Field Service, taking ownership of field service assignments from project award through to close-out. You coordinate technical and quality requirements, brief and debrief Field Service Engineers, and ensure complete and accurate field reporting and invoicing. Working closely with the Field Service Manager, Operations Assistant and site teams, you help ensure smooth execution and consistent, high-quality service for our customers.

What you will do

• Take ownership of won FS assignments and prepare them for execution
• Prepare all project and technical documentation required for the given assignment
• Prepare new or existing project specific quality documentation
• Provide technical briefings to the Field Service Engineers ahead of deployment
• check field service reports for completeness, resolve open points and submit
• Lead project close-out and ivoicing, ensuring commercial accuracy
• Prepare and conduct debriefing sessions on assignment completion

What makes you the ideal fit

• Technical apprenticeship and/or degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (or equivalent)
• Extensive hands-on field service experience with turbomachinery
• Solid understanding of project management, with several years of relevant experience
• Proficient in reading technical documentation and writing structured reports
• Understanding of the financial aspects of project execution
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage
• Structured and thorough, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple assignments in parallel
• Self-driven and reliable, with strong long-term professional commitment
• Customer-oriented, with a strong commitment to service excellence
• Confident with digital tools: MS Office, SharePoint, Salesforce or equivalent
• CH or EU citizen
