Lonza in Visp, Switzerland seeks a Production Manager DSP to oversee chromatography manufacturing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will lead an interdisciplinary team of production leaders, supervisors, and specialists, driving standardization and cost control.

This fully site-based role combines deep technical chromatography expertise with people leadership to advance Drug Linker Asset production in the ADC field.

Location: the actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

Based in Visp, the Production Manager DSP m anages the operational activities of the manufacturing projects with chromatography steps in the new Drug Linker Asset with overall responsibility of manufacturing execution with regard to safety, quality and on-time-in full delivery. He/she leads an interdisciplinary team of production leaders, supervisors and specialists. He/she is accountable for the performance and results of the assigned projects including cost control.

This is a highly visible role for a Production Chemist expert for DSP and Chromatography process, who wants to combine deep technical expertise with people leadership and a significant contribution to a growing Drug Linker Development and Manufacturing organization in the ADC market.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams for the manufacturing aspects of assigned chromatography processes
• Perform risk analyses and ensure implementation of defined control measures.
• Ensures a high level of technical and process standardization within the production plants for Drug linker. Candidate will start work in Drug Linker Asset HKS in Visp for the first year to gain a strong production process related understanding.
• Ensure documentation, regulatory compliance, operator training, and process know-how transfer.
• Drive cost control, continuous improvement, innovation, audits, and technical standardization.
• Build and apply strong chromatography equipment and process expertise.
• Prepare, program, and manage operation of chromatography equipment for manufacturing.
• Act as a technical and scientific expert for Drug Linker Toxin production internally and externally, responsibility includes training and SBP activities for production chemists and operation.

What we are looking for:

• Academic degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Significant experience in Engingeering Chromatography assets or Chromatography Application in Production, Experience pharmaceutical process development, API development, clinical supply, or manufacturing sciences.
• In-depth technical knowledge in Operations, in the biological, chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry
• Significant Chromatography hands on experience and programming skills on preparatory HPLC equipment
• Proven experience leading complex projects in a matrix organization within clinical supply, development, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process development, scale-up, technology transfer, and GMP manufacturing requirements, specifically for processes with chromatography unit operation
• Good knowledge of Drug Linker technology and understanding of safe work execution in containment assets.
• Fluent English language skills required; German proficiency is a strong asset.
