Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland is seeking a Production Scheduler to proactively maintain and improve the production schedule on-site. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and families.

You will create, supervise and optimize short-term schedules, coordinating with multiple departments to meet planned material availabilities and capacity constraints while driving continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with extensive years of proven experience in end-to-end Supply Chain
• Strong SAP background with skills in financial, scheduling and materials planning
• APICS CPIM knowledge is an advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with internal teams
• Ability to adapt to changes and collaborate across functions

• Incorporate input from all relevant departments to ensure schedules are realistic within constraints
• Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against optimal production sequencing and resource utilization
• Ensure all feedback regarding changes to existing plans is incorporated into schedules promptly
• Maintain planning system parameters for optimal use of scheduling functionality
• Generate metrics to identify trends or root causes of sub-optimal performance
• Maintain accurate production schedule and provide data for the MRP process
• Review schedules, work orders and staffing tables to determine resources and material priorities
• Monitor production data to support continuous improvement activities

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule. Perform all duties to ensure the departmental schedules are accurate and communicated to all relevant departments to drive short term execution of plans.

Ensure all schedules are created respecting existing labor and asset capacities and achievable based on planned material availabilities. Drive timely resolution of all scheduling conflicts with relevant stakeholders.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Create, supervise and maintain the short term schedules to provide awareness of defined departments to drive short term execution of plans
• Incorporate input from all relevant departments to ensure schedules are realistic within relevant constraints and latest information
• Drive optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against optimal production sequencing and efficient resource (facility/suite, equipment, staff, materials etc.) utilization
• Ensure all feedback regarding changes to existing plans is incorporated into schedules in timely manner
• Maintain detailed planning and scheduling parameters in planning system to allow optimal use of system scheduling functionality
• Generate relevant critical metric and operational measures to support identification of trends or root causing of sub-optimal performance
• Maintain accurate production schedule, providing data for the MRP process to meet production demands
• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities
• Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOM's, increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with extensive years of proven experience in end-to-end Supply Chain, solid knowledge in APICS CPIM professional standards is an advantage.
• Strong SAP background with skills in financial, scheduling and materials planning is a must (Planview background an additional benefit)
• Demonstrates the courage and integrity to engage in difficult conversations with internal teams and management when needed, encouraging transparency, growth, and collaboration
• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Change adaptability skills
• Proficient in English and German (spoken and written)
