Lam Research in Austria seeks a Product Safety Engineer to independently drive safety activities for semiconductor capital equipment. You will work with design, manufacturing, and field teams to define, implement, and sustain safety requirements across the product lifecycle.

The role requires systems-level thinking to identify hazards, drive design improvements, and ensure compliance with global standards while aligning with customer expectations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• ~3–7 years of experience applying safety standards and hazard analysis.
• Experience with third-party certification bodies and driving closure of compliance gaps.

Aufgaben

• Perform system-level hazard analysis and risk assessments and drive mitigation.
• Apply SEMI S2, CE Marking directives, NFPA standards for compliance.
• Identify design risks across electrical, mechanical, chemical domains and partner with engineers to resolve them.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure safety requirements are included early.
• Resolve safety issues from reviews, field feedback, and external evaluations.
• Interface with certification agencies to support safety assessments and closure of findings.
• Review maintenance procedures to ensure safe operation and servicing of equipment.
• Collaborate with account teams and field organizations to support customer confidence in safety.
