Zusammenfassung

Lam Research in Austria is seeking a Product Safety Engineer to lead system-level safety activities for semiconductor capital equipment. You will work with design, manufacturing and field teams to define, implement and sustain safety requirements across the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hazard analysis, regulatory alignment (SEMI S2, CE marking, NFPA standards) and collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and chemical domains. A hands-on, cross‑functional problem solver is needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience applying safety standards and hazard analysis to complex equipment.
• Strong cross-functional communication and teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Independently perform system-level hazard analysis and risk assessments, and drive implementation of mitigation strategies
• Apply and interpret SEMI S2, CE Marking directives, and NFPA standards to support product compliance
• Identify design risks across electrical, mechanical, chemical, and ergonomic domains, and partner with engineering teams to resolve them
• Participate in and influence design reviews to ensure safety requirements are incorporated early
• Resolve product safety issues from internal reviews, field feedback, and third‑party evaluations
• Interface with third‑party certification agencies to support safety assessments and closure of findings
• Review and develop maintenance and service procedures to ensure safe operation and servicing of equipment
• Partner with account teams and field organizations to support customer confidence in product safety
