You’re a procurement professional who enjoys negotiating with suppliers, solving challenging sourcing situations and finding better ways to work. You want more than a purely local procurement role — you want to use your expertise across products, suppliers and international teams, and have the opportunity to contribute to how procurement develops.

You’ll combine hands‑on procurement with strategic thinking, working across technical products, services and selected indirect procurement topics while helping align and develop procurement activities across SKIDATA’s subsidiaries.

The role

As a Procurement Specialist (m/f/d), you’ll take ownership of a varied procurement portfolio, from supplier relationships and sourcing strategies to cost optimisation, stock management and procurement risk.

You’ll work closely with R&D, product management, finance, legal and international procurement contacts. Your judgement will help navigate changing markets, strengthen supplier partnerships and improve how procurement works across the organisation.

This is a role with international scope, practical responsibility and room to contribute your own ideas — from product development and series production through to ongoing supplier management and procurement improvement.

What You’ll Work On

• Managing supplier relationships, including contracts, prices, terms, supplier performance and procurement risks.
• Developing sourcing strategies through market analysis, tenders and supplier evaluation, adapting to changing market conditions.
• Working with R&D, product management, and on procurement topics from product development through to series production, including supplier selection and evaluation.
• Supporting cost reduction, demand forecasting, stock optimisation and appropriate order quantities, including product ramp‑up and ramp‑down.
• Coordinating procurement activities across SKIDATA subsidiaries and contributing to global procurement projects, spend analysis and process harmonisation.
• Improving procurement processes through KPI tracking, process optimisation and, where relevant, AI‑based tools and automation.

What Will Help You Succeed

• Completed technical education combined with a commercial/procurement background.
• Solid experience (5+ years) in project or technical procurement, ideally including international or multi‑site environments.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in supplier and contract management.
• Good judgement and analytical skills, combined with a structured, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Experience working with ERP systems and MS Office; basic knowledge of customs, import/export, RoHS and EU regulations is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken German (C1 minimum) and English.

We offer a competitive salary based on your qualifications and professional experience. The minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement is EUR 2.535,00 gross per month on a full‑time basis. Your actual salary will be adjusted in line with the market based on your qualifications and experience.
