Zusammenfassung

Axetris AG, a leading micro-optical components and MEMS-based gas detectors company, is seeking a Process Engineer for the Backend area in Wafer Production Engineering. You will drive continuous improvement of processes and equipment, develop production parameters for wafer manufacturing, and transfer new processes into serial production.

You will also specify, evaluate, and qualify new systems while providing 2nd-level support in a global setting.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing, ideally in dicing or pick-and-place.
• Sound knowledge of quality and process management methods (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, root cause analysis).

For our Wafer Production Engineering department at Axetris AG, we are looking for a self‑reliant and motivated individual to join us as a Process Engineer in the Backend area.

• Responsibility for the continuous improvement of processes and associated equipment
• Development and optimization of production parameters in wafer manufacturing
• Transfer of new processes into serial production
• Specification, evaluation, installation and qualification of new systems and equipment
• Ensuring 2nd-level support for equipment- and process-related issues in production

Your Profile

• Master’s degree (MSc) in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing, ideally in the area of dicing or pick-and-place
• Sound knowledge of common quality and process management methods such as FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, root cause analysis, etc.
• Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
• High level of initiative combined with strong implementation skills and a hands‑on, practice‑oriented approach
