Zusammenfassung

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a highly qualified Pathologist to provide expert pathology review and support oncology pre‑clinical studies and clinical trials. You will serve as a subject matter expert for oncology assets and drive cross‑functional scientific decisions.

Responsibilities include developing assays with IHC, multiplex immunofluorescence, and digital pathology, and advising leadership on translational strategies.

Qualifikationen

  • MD or D.V.M. degree with completion of an accredited Pathology Residency Training program.
  • Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (EU or USA) is preferred.
  • Fellowship training with a minimum of one year of post‑training experience in clinical practice and/or industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in immunohistochemistry, multiplex immunofluorescence, and molecular pathology.
  • Experience with exploratory or translational assays in clinical trial settings is highly advantageous.

  • Contribute to the development and validation of novel assays using advanced platforms, including multiplex immunofluorescence (e.g., Comet), immunohistochemistry, mRNA in situ hybridization, and digital pathology.
  • Drive innovation in molecular pathology and translational research through close collaboration with scientific teams to ensure clinical relevance and robust assay performance.

The position

In addition, the position drives continuous improvement in pathology workflows and advises leadership on future pathology and translational research strategies.

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 90.900 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
