The University of Vienna invites applications for a University assistant predoctoral in the Faculty of Catholic Theology. The position is 30 hours per week, limited to four years, with start date preferably mid-October to early November.

The role includes research, teaching, and administration, with duties in literature reviews, bibliography compilation, and course support. Required are a Diploma/Master’s in Theology or Philosophy, strong German and good English skills, and basic computer

Qualifikationen

• Diploma's / Master’s degree in (Catholic) Theology or Philosophy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent command of German.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Aufgaben

• Participating in research projects and scientific studies.
• Contributing to publications, scientific articles, and presentations (literature reviews, proofreading, formatting, bibliographies).
• Sign a dissertation agreement within 12–18 months.
• Teach courses where possible in line with the collective bargaining agreement.
• Student advising and assisting with organization of meetings, conferences and symposia.
• Support for Moodle e-learning platform and department website maintenance.
