Zusammenfassung

University of Vienna is seeking a predoctoral University assistant in Tax Law (Prae Doc) to support research and teaching in tax-related legal issues. The position starts in November 2026 and runs for four years with initial 1.5 years, extendable to four years unless a non-renewal is declared after 12 months.

You will actively participate in research, teaching and administration, finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months, contribute to publications, engage in research projects,

Qualifikationen

• MA in the study field law
• Professional competence: Excellent knowledge in Austrian tax law and European law
• Knowledge of principles of teaching
• High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
• Excellent command of written and spoken German
• High command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work in team

Aufgaben

• You actively participate in research, teaching & administration.
• Finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• You participate in publications / academic articles.
• You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
• You are involved in the organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums.
• You apply for projects and raise external funds.
• Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement
• You participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance
• You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
