University of Salzburg invites applications for the position of First Stage Researcher (R1) in Juridical sciences - Public law. The role is a 4-year temporary contract, part-time 30 hours/week, starting November 2026.

Qualifications

• Concrete dissertation proposal in public law/constitutional and administrative law.

Responsibilities

• Academic support in research and teaching activities within the relevant field.
• Assisting with research and teaching as well as research projects.
• Independent research: writing and publishing a dissertation as part of completing the relevant doctoral program at the University of Salzburg.
• Independent teaching: preparation, delivery, and follow-up of courses (including examination duties) in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
• Administrative tasks, as well as administrative duties within the department (e.g. supervision of exams) and assisting with events and conferences.
