Job summary

Knapp AG in Austria seeks a PLC Commissioning Engineer to bring our automated warehouse systems to life. You will program, configure, and test Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal) and ensure seamless commissioning for international customers.

Responsibilities include commissioning automation and conveyors, on-site testing, and collaboration with electrical, mechanical and software teams. Expect significant travel and hands-on training of customer technicians.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering (HTL or similar).
Basic or advanced experience with PLC programming (Siemens preferred).
Good English skills.
Proactive mindset and willingness to travel.
Physically fit with ability to lift 25 kg and climb ladders.

Commissioning of automation and conveyor systems.
PLC programming & troubleshooting (Siemens TIA/Step7).
On-site testing, optimization and handover.

As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you bring KNAPP's automated warehouse systems to life. You program, configure, and test Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal) and ensure seamless commissioning for our international customers.

Commissioning of automation and conveyor systems
On-site testing, optimization and handover
Collaboration with electrical, mechanical and software teams
International travel (around 60-75 %)
Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering (HTL or similar)
Basic or advanced experience with PLC programming (preferred Siemens)
Passion for automation, robotics and technology
Proactive mindset and willingness to travel
You are physically and mentally fit, able to stand and walk for extended periods, capable of lifting 25kg at shoulder height, and comfortable with heights and climbing ladders

A significant overpayment is of course possible depending on your professional qualifications and experience. You will also receive a monthly allowance of up to € 1,350 net and bonuses of up to € 1,350 gross, depending on the amount of travel.
