Job summary

Lomography is seeking a detail-oriented lab assistant to operate and maintain the minilab, including film development, scanning, image processing, and printing. You will prepare films for partnerlab processing and assist with ongoing tests and repairs.

You will research technical lab questions, monitor stock, and communicate with service technicians to keep workflows efficient. A curiosity for analogue photography and strong manual dexterity are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate the minilab (film development, scanning, image processing, printing).
• Prepare films for partnerlab processing.
• Research technical lab questions (equipment manuals, process and film specifications).
• Suggest improvements to lab workflows.
• Clean and service the minilab and scanning equipment, including routine maintenance according to manufacturer instructions.
• Communicate with service technicians.
• Monitor stock of lab consumables.
• Check incoming films.
• Upload scans to the LomoLAB backend.
• Assist with other tasks during slow periods, such as film and development tests, hand-spooling film and repairs.
